How green is 20i?
20i is in the Green Web Foundation's directory of verified green hosting providers (we checked on 1 November 2026).
What the Foundation's verification means
20i says every website on its platform runs entirely on renewable energy through its energy suppliers and cloud partners, but it publishes no certificates or supply contracts to back this. For its UK data centre it relies on the operator, which says its campus runs entirely on renewables. Its statement that all its data centres are renewable predates its Singapore location, and no page we found names the energy source of its Dallas site.
Reseller and shared hosting, in space 20i rents from data-centre operators.
The data centres we list are in 3 countries, whose grids average 367 g CO2e per kWh, against 218 g in the UK. Lower is cleaner.
The grid in each country
| Country | Grid average | Year |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 218 gCO2e/kWh | 2025 |
| United States | 384 gCO2e/kWh | 2025 |
| Singapore | 497 gCO2e/kWh | 2025 |
